Admissions Procedure for International Students

Admissions eligibility

Individuals who are not Japanese citizens and have or will have completed 12 years of formal school education mainly outside of Japan are eligible to apply. The applicant must select subjects specified by University of Toyama in the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) conducted by the Association of International Education, Japan.

Admissions for undergraduate degree programs

The University of Toyama offers special admission examinations for non-Japanese students. They are usually announced in late October and held in late February of the following year at the University of Toyama.
Please request application materials from the Examination Section of the appropriate Admissions Office.

Admission for Exchange Students

Students from universities engaged in exchange programs with the University of Toyama are admitted into one-year non-degree programs.
Application must be made through the university where the student is registered.
