Prof. Ayse Nur Tekmen, Ankara University, Republic of Turkey Visits University of Toyama

On July 26, 2019, Prof. Ayse Nur Tekmen, Faculty of Languages History and Geography, Department of Japan Language and Literature, Ankara University, Republic of Turkey paid a courtesy visit to Executive Vice President Masayuki Ikeda.

In 2017, she received the "Foreign Minister’s Commendation" for her commitment to spreading Japanese language in Republic of Turkey for 10 years as the Dean of the Department. The Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in international fields between Japan and other countries and areas.

After the visit of Executive Vice President Masayuki Ikeda, she joined the discussion about Japanese Education with 3 professors; Assoc. Prof. Nakamura, Faculty of Human Development and who will be a supervisor of an international student from Ankara University in October, Prof. Hamada and Assoc. Prof. Tanaka, Organization of International Education and Exchange.

With this visit as an opportunity, further development of international exchange can be expected in the future.
