As a student, I was a member of TAC, the universi-ty’ s astronomy club. I have lots of great memories of time spent starwatching with the other mem-bers of the club. I think that the way I spent my free time was also very fruitful, including things like traveling with friends and self-improvement activities. あの頃私は富大生 Memories from my school daysExperiences at the University of Toyamaand Faculty of Engineering usefulafter graduationYAMAZAKI FudaiGraduated from Department of Intellectual Information Engineeringin March 2022I’ m interested in programming, telecommunications technology, and information engineering, so I enrolled in the Intellectual Information Engineering Course of the School of Engineering, where I studied these specialized topics in depth for four years. In addition to lectures about software, those four years of undergraduate study also included lectures on the hardware that runs that software, providing me with a broad knowledge base on the connections between the two, as well as how they work. After graduating, I went to work for the Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited (NEXCO Central), because I wanted to work on our shared social infrastructure. My work involves maintenance, repair, and updates for expressway lighting, information-al signboards, and power receiving and distribution equipment, as well as introducing new technologies. The wide-ranging knowledge I acquired at the University of Toyama School of Engineering has proven valuable in my work, managing many different kinds of facilities.
