I was a member of the Jazz Research Club, where I spent many hours practicing with fellow mem-bers in the club building after classes. Through the club, I also had the chance to meet students from other universities as well as local people involved in music. These experiences taught me not only about performing music, but also about the impor-tance of connecting with others.あの頃私は富大生 Memories from my school daysExperiences at the University of Toyamaand Faculty of Engineering usefulafter graduationSHIOKAWA TakumiGraduated from the Graduate School of Science and Engineering for Education(Master’s program) in 2019In the Department of Environmental Applied Chemistry in the School of Engineering (now called the Applied Chemistry Course), I studied chemistry from the basics to its applications. I especially enjoyed discussing our lab reports with my classmates during laboratory class-es. In my master’ s program, I conducted research on polymers, repeating the cycle of experimentation, analysis, and review. I faced many challenges and failures, but through discussions with my advi-sor, I was able to identify solutions and determine the next steps. All of these experiences remain valuable to me. Today, I work at Kioxia Cor-poration, where I am in charge of product planning and customer technical support for UFS storage used in mobile devices such as smartphones. Although my current work is in the field of semiconduc-tors, I have also taken on new challenges in programming, electrical engineering, and electronics, in addition to chemistry. There are always difficulties when entering a new field, but the challenges and failures I experienced as a student have become the foundation for who I am today. I am truly grateful for the valuable experiences I gained at the University of Toyama, and I hope to continue growing in the years ahead. KIOXIA Corporation, Memory Division,Memory Technical Marketing Managing Department, Memory ApplicationEngineering Dept.1, Memory Application Engineering Device Group塩川 拓実さん2019年3月 大学院理工学教育部（修士課程）環境応用化学専攻修了卒業後に活かすことができた富山大学や工学部での経験School of ENGINEERINGキオクシア株式会社 メモリ事業部 メモリ応用技術統括部メモリ応用技術第一部 メモリ応用技術デバイス担当私は工学部環境応用化学科（現：応用化学コース）で、化学の基礎から応用まで幅広く学ぶことができました。特に実験を行う講義では、同期の仲間と実験レポートについて議論するなど、充実した時間を過ごしました。大学院修士課程では高分子をテーマに研究に取り組み、実験と結果の考察、レビューまでを繰り返し行いました。多くの挑戦と失敗を経験しましたが、指導教員と相談しながら解決策や次のアクションを考えたことが今でも役立っています。現在はキオクシア株式会社でスマートフォン等のモバイル向けストレージであるUFSの製品仕様策定と顧客技術対応を担当しています。半導体を扱いますが、化学に加えてプログラミングや電気電子に関わる業務にも挑戦しています。初めての分野に苦戦することもありますが、学生時代の挑戦と失敗の経験が今の私を支える基盤となっています。貴重な経験を与えてくれた富山大学に感謝するとともに、今後も成長し続けたいと思います。14ジャズ研究会に所属し、講義後はサークル棟で仲間と練習に励んでいました。他大学の学生や地域の方など、学外の音楽関係者とも交流があり、演奏面だけでなく人とのつながりの大切さも学んだ、貴重な学生時代でした。卒業生インタビュー Graduate Voices
