資源開発部門 Department of Medicinal Resources病態制御部門 Department of Bioscience臨床科学部門 Department of Clinical Scienceトランスレーショナルリサーチ 推進部門 Department of Translational Research共同利用・共同研究拠点 和漢薬の科学基盤形成拠点 Joint Usage/Research Center forScience-Based Natural Medicine　伝統医学は人類が自然の摂理と天然の恵みを巧みに利用し、疾病の予防、治療にあたってきた経験知の集積と考えられます。和漢医薬学総合研究所は近年著しく発展した先端科学技術を駆使することにより、この伝統医学や使われる薬物を科学的に評価し、東洋医学と西洋医学の融合をはかり、新しい医薬学体系の構築と自然環境の保全を含めた全人医療の確立に貢献することを使命とします。この使命を達成するため研究所は①天然薬物資源の確保と保全、②和漢医薬学の基礎研究の推進と東西医薬学の融合、③漢方医学における診断治療体系の客観化と漢方医療従事者の育成、④伝統医薬学研究の中核的情報発信拠点の形成などに関する重点課題を設定し、研究所内の横断的連携、国内および国際的共同研究を推進しております。 　Traditional medicine is regarded as the prevention and treatment of diseases utilizing natural providence and blessings.
