Associate Professor Polidori from the University of Camerino Visits the University of Toyama
On January 13 and 14, 2026, Associate Professor Polidori from the Department of Experimental Medicine and Public Health, University of Camerino (Italy) , paid an academic visit to the Sugitani Campus of the University of Toyama.
The UNICAM, located in central Italy, is highly regarded for its strengths in architecture and design, life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, and law. Academic exchange between the UNICAM and the UT has been fostered over many years, primarily through collaborations led by Assoc. Prof. Hatada of the Faculty of Science. A university-level academic exchange agreement was formally concluded on January 22, 2022. Assoc. Prof. Polidori visited the UT with the aim of promoting academic exchange in the fields of medicine and pharmaceutical sciences, in addition to academic exchange with the Faculty of Science.
On January 13, Assoc. Prof. Polidori delivered an academic lecture on the Sugitani Campus, followed by visits to six research laboratories, including those in the fields of medicine and nursing. In the afternoon, he conducted a mock English lecture for students at the Gofuku Campus.
On the second day, January 14, Assoc. Prof. Polidori visited the Museum of Materia Medica, where he was given an introduction to the exhibits by Prof. Tohda, Institute Director. He then met with Prof. Matsuya (Dean), Prof. Nakano (Vice Dean), and Prof. Mizuguchi (a member of the Globalization Working Group), all from the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to exchange views on student and researcher exchange as well as potential future collaboration in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
Further development of academic exchange between the two universities is anticipated.
