Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan Pays a Courtesy Visit to the University of Toyama

On August 25, H.E. Mr. Md Daud Ali, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Japan, paid a courtesy visit to the University of Toyama and met with President Shigeru Saito, Professor Masayuki Ikeda, Professor Hiroyuki Yamane, and Bangladeshi students currently studying at the University.

During the meeting, President Saito welcomed the Ambassador and highlighted the University’s ongoing academic cooperation with educational and research institutions in Bangladesh, including researcher exchanges, student mobility, and collaborative research activities. He expressed his hope that these longstanding ties would continue to deepen and further advance educational and research collaboration between the University of Toyama and Bangladesh.

Ambassador Ali underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation in higher education and research between Bangladesh and Japan. He also expressed his expectation that the University of Toyama and Bangladeshi universities and research institutions would further expand their partnerships through academic exchange, collaborative research initiatives, and the development of new institutional agreements.

The meeting was followed by a fruitful exchange of views with Bangladeshi students, focusing on academic collaboration, student mobility, and future opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to reaffirm the importance of international academic exchange and is expected to further strengthen ties between the University of Toyama and Bangladesh in the fields of education, research, and human resource development.
