Spring Study-Excursion Held at Tateyama Murodo
The Organization for International Education and Exchange held its “Spring Study Excursion” on May 23, visiting Tateyama Murodo.
This excursion is organized every spring and fall to provide opportunities for interaction among international students and Japanese students. This year, applications exceeded the capacity, and a total of 97 participants joined the excursion, including 89 international students and 8 Japanese students.
Although the weather was unstable and visibility was temporarily reduced due to fog, participants enjoyed the magnificent natural scenery of Tateyama while walking around the Snow Corridor and the Mikurigaike Pond area. They also had the rare opportunity to encounter a rock ptarmigan (“Raicho” in Japanese) during the excursion.
Throughout the trip, participants actively communicated in various languages both on the bus and at the sightseeing spots, making the excursion a valuable opportunity to build new friendships and deepen intercultural exchange.
