Delegation from Faculty of Medicine, University of Hasanuddin, Indonesia, visits University of Toyama
On April 17, 2024, a delegation from Faculty of Medicine of Hasanuddin University(FMHU), Indonesia, paid a courtesy visit to President Shigeru Saito of University of Toyama (UT).
Hasanuddin University(HU) and UT have concluded an inter-university academic exchange agreement in 2002 and have deepened exchanges over the past 22 years.
In May 2023, President Jompa of HU visited UT, and in November of the same year, President Saito visited HU to exchange views on future international exchange and to open University of Toyama Liaison Office, the UT’s international exchange base.
These fruitful efforts have successfully led to the new start of student exchange activities including overseas clinical training between School of Medicine of UT and FMHU.
After the courtesy visit, the delegation toured Department of Radiology and Department of Paediatrics of Toyama University Hospital, where they listened to explanations from the hospital doctors.
Further cooperation between the two universities in various fields is expected in the future.
