告辞
始めに、新型コロナウィルス感染予防対策のため、富山市総合体育館での学位記授与式を中止せざるを得なくなりましたこと、誠に残念な気持ちでいっぱいです。私も、皆さんとともに学位記授与をお祝いしたいと思っておりましたが、国を挙げての感染予防対策を行っている中での学位記授与式は、卒業生、修了生の健康を最優先したいため、やむを得ず中止とさせていただきましたことに、ご理解をいただきたいと思います。学位記授与式での私の挨拶が叶いませんので、ビデオメッセージにて皆様の門出を祝福したいと思います。
本日、75名の留学生を含む、学部卒業生1,802名、大学院修士課程修了生358名、博士課程修了生43名、専門職学位課程修了生13名、論文博士1名、合計2,217名に学位記を授与いたしました。2,000名を超える若者が、富山大学からそれぞれの道へ巣立つこの良き日を迎えることができたこと、教職員一同を代表して、心からお祝い申し上げます。
皆さん、入学した時のことを思い出してください。おそらく不安と期待が入り混じった中での入学式であったことでしょう。大学生活の中で、高校時代とは異なり、自らが積極的に課題に取り組み、また、グループで議論を重ね、それぞれの課題を解決するという手法を身につけ、その結果、大きく人間的に成長されたことでしょう。
また、知識だけではなく、倫理観も身につけ、さらに大学の外に出て、地域での学びも経験されました。これらの富山大学在学中の多くの経験を活かし、これからは、社会で活躍されることを心から祈っております。
また、修士課程や博士課程に進学された方々は、研究という新たな分野に挑戦し、これらの成果をまとめられたこと、高く評価したいと思います。これからの人生で、修士課程や博士課程で学んだことが大いに役立つと思います。
本日、学位記授与式は各学部、学科ごとに執り行われていますが、皆さんは同じ時間を富山大学で過ごした同窓の仲間です。卒業しても、学部を超えて連絡を取っていただき、いつの日か同窓会で富山大学に戻ってきていただきたいと願っています。
富山大学は、これからも富山県での地域活性化の中核として、地方創生に貢献していきたいと思っています。そのためには、富山大学と卒業生とのネットワークが重要です。また、未来に役立つ研究成果を、国内外の研究施設と連携しながら発信していくつもりです。
皆さんにとって誇れる母校として在り続けられるよう、教職員ともに尽力していくつもりですので、同窓生として富山大学をご支援していただきたいと願っております。
最後になりますが、卒業生の皆さんが素晴らしい人生を送られることを祈念し、学長告辞といたします。

First of all, I apologize you for that I had to cancel the graduation ceremony at the Toyama City General Gymnasium to prevent infection with the Coronavirus（COVID-19）.
I also wish to celebrate the graduation ceremony with everyone, but I want to give top priority to the health of graduates in the ceremony while taking national infection prevention measures.
Therefore, I would like you to understand that we have been forced to cancel the ceremony.
Since I will not be able to express my greetings at the graduation ceremony, instead, I would like to congratulate you on the video message.
Today, I awarded to diplomas 1,802 undergraduates, 358 graduate master’s students, and 43 doctoral graduates, 13 professional degrees, 1 dissertation doctor and including 75 international students.
On behalf of the teachers and staff, I sincerely congratulate the over 2,000 young people welcoming this good day from The University of Toyama to their respective avenues.
Please remember when you entered. Probably the entrance ceremony was a mixture of anxiety and expectations for you.
In university life, unlike in high school, you leaned a way to actively tackle issues, discuss the issues in groups, and solve each of the issues. As a result, you have grown greatly humanly.
In addition, you learned not only knowledge but also ethics. And you also experienced learning locally.
I sincerely hope that you can make use of your experience at The University of Toyama and be active in society.
Also, those who have continued to graduate school will be highly praised for taking on the challenge of a new field of research and summarizing these results.
I think that what you learned in graduate school will be very useful in your future life.
Today, the graduation ceremony is held for each school and department individually, but you are the same alumni who spent the same time at The University of Toyama.
I hope that even if you graduate, you will be contacted beyond the school and will return to The University of Toyama one day.
University of Toyama will continue to contribute to be a core of regional revitalization in Toyama Prefecture.
To that end, a network of University of Toyama and graduates is important.
In addition, we intend to actively announce our research results which will be beneficial in the future, in collaboration with other research institutions both in and out of Japan.
We will work together with the teachers and staff so that we can continue to be a proud alma mater for all of you, and I hope that you will support The University of Toyama as an alumni.
I wish the graduates will have a wonderful life.
