告辞
始めに、新型コロナウイルス感染予防対策のため、富山市総合体育館での学位記授与式を２回に分けて行うこととなりました。国を挙げての感染予防対策を行っている中での学位記授与式ですので、ご理解をいただきたいと思います。ともあれ、昨年の全体の学位記授与式は中止でしたので、本日ここに卒業生が参列し、学位記授与式を執り行うことができ、大変嬉しく思います。
本日、54名の留学生を含む、学部卒業生1,774名、大学院修士課程修了生366名、博士課程修了生25名、専門職学位課程修了生12名、論文博士5名、合計2,182名に学位記を授与致しました。2,000名を超える若者が、富山大学からそれぞれの道へ巣立つこの良き日を迎えることができたこと、教職員一同を代表して、心からお祝い申し上げます。
Since we have international students here today, I would like to give a short congratulatory message in English.
It’s a great pleasure to see you all today. You have been awarded a degree by the University of Toyama.
On behalf of the University, I extend my sincere congratulations.
皆さん、入学した時のことを思い出してください。おそらく不安と期待が入り混じった中での入学式であったことでしょう。大学生活の中で、高校時代とは異なり、自らが積極的に課題に取り組み、また、グループで議論を重ね、それぞれの課題を解決するという手法を身につけ、その結果、大きく人間的に成長されたことでしょう。また、突然、新型コロナウイルス感染症のため、遠隔授業に変更となり、大変であったと思います。
そのような中、知識だけではなく、倫理観も身につけ、同時にディスカッション力も修得され、さらに大学の外に出て、地域での学びも経験されました。これらの富山大学在学中の多くの経験を活かし、これからは、社会で活躍されることを心から祈っております。
また、修士課程や博士課程に進学された方々は、コロナ禍で大変な中、研究という新たな分野に挑戦し、これらの成果をまとめられたこと、高く評価したいと思います。これからの人生で、修士課程や博士課程で学んだことが大いに役立つと思います。新型コロナウイルス感染症により、デジタル化が急速に進み、デジタルトランスフォーメーション（DX）革命ともいえる社会の変革が起こっています。また、カーボンニュートラルやモノを作るのみならず、リサイクルまで含めた環境に配慮する時代に大きく変化してきています。卒業生の皆様は、これから社会に出て、これらの変革を実践していって欲しいと強く願っています。
Everyone, please remember when you entered the University. You were probably anxious and excited about starting a new life then. Unlike in high school, you learned how to actively tackle issues, hold discussions in groups, and solve difficult problems while you were at the University. As a result, through your student life, I am certain that you have matured personally much more.
Due to COVID-19, you must have had a hard time because the classes were suddenly switched to distance learning classes.
In spite of such a situation, you acquired not only knowledge but also morality, and also went out of the university and experienced learning in the community. I hope you will make good use of these many experiences undertaken while you were studying at Toyama University in order to play an active role in society in the future.
Also, I would like to recognize those students who have advanced to the master’s or doctoral programs have taken on the challenge of a new field of research and summarized these results during the COVID-19 pandemic. I think that what you learned in the master’s and doctoral programs will be very useful in your future career.
Today, digitalization is progressing rapidly, and a social transformation that can be called a digital transformation revolution is occurring because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the times have changed dramatically in an era that recognizes the importance of the environment, and therefore making carbon neutral, eco-products, and the need for recycling. I do hope all graduates put into practice these changes as members of society.
富山大学は、これからも富山県での地域活性化の中核として、地方創生に貢献していきたいと思っています。そのためには、富山大学と卒業生とのネットワークが重要です。また、未来に役立つ研究成果を、国内外の研究施設と連携しながら発信していくつもりです。また、卒業した後、社会に出て、更に学びたいという方には、リカレント教育を行っていきたいと考えています。
皆さんにとって誇れる母校として在り続けられるよう、教職員ともに尽力していくつもりですので、同窓生として富山大学をご支援していただきたいと願っております。
The University of Toyama will continue to contribute to regional revitalization as the core of regional top leader in Toyama. In order to realize this, it is important to keep the connection between Toyama University and graduates. In addition, we intend to disseminate research results that will be useful in the future in collaboration with research facilities in Japan and overseas. Also, we would like to provide continuing education for those of you want to carry on learning after graduation.
We will do our best to be a proud alma mater university for everyone from now on, so we hope that you will support Toyama University as an alumni.
Finally I wish all you graduates have a wonderful life.
