式辞
皆様、富山大学への入学、誠におめでとうございます。教職員を代表して式辞を述べさせていただきます。さて、新型コロナウイルス感染第６波の中、大学入学共通テスト並びに一般選抜前期日程、後期日程、追試験も執り行うことができました。その結果、本日、令和４年度入学式において、学部入学生1,863名、大学院入学生512名、総勢2,375名の皆さんを富山大学にお迎えすることができました。コロナウイルス感染防止のため入学式を午前と午後の２回に分け、また御父兄や御家族の方々の参列は１名までとさせていただきましたが、何卒ご理解いただきたく存じます。残念ながら、本日参加できない御父兄や友人のために、YouTubeで式典を配信していますので、全国で見ていただいております。
期待と緊張が入り混じる張り詰めた空気の中で、皆さんとの新しい出会いの日を迎えること、私ども大学人にとっては大きな喜び、感激であり、富山大学を代表し、心よりお祝いを申し上げます。また、ご来賓の方々には、ご臨席を賜り厚く御礼申し上げます。
Since we have international students here today, I would like to give a short congratulatory message also in English.
First of all, as the president of the University of Toyama, I welcome you all and give my warmest congratulations.
まず、最初に新型コロナウイルス対策で皆様にお願いです。４月からは対面授業を開始しますが、マスク着用、手洗いの励行をお願いします。授業中の発言でコロナ感染を生じることは極めて少ないので、積極的に質問をして下さい。
また、５月の連休明けから、ワクチン接種を大学で行ないますので、２回目の接種から７か月以上経つ学生さんは、ご利用下さい。最も感染のリスクが高まるのは、食事の際の会話ですので、黙食を励行し、食後にマスクをつけて会話して下さい。また、発熱等の症状があれば、すぐに医療機関を受診し、新型コロナ陽性であれば、学生支援課、保健管理センターに連絡して指示に従って下さい。この場合、授業を欠席しても救済措置が取られます

富山大学は、９学部及び附属病院や和漢医薬学総合研究所、先進軽金属材料国際研究機構など複数の教育・研究施設に、9,000名余の学生と2,300名余の教職員が集う総合国立大学です。富山大学の歴史の原点は、現在の教育学部の前身となる新川県師範学校が発足した1875年／明治８年に遡ります。その後2005年、当時の富山県内３国立大学（富山大学、富山医科薬科大学、高岡短期大学）が統合し、現在の富山大学が誕生しています。本年が統合後17年となります。
Our university was established in 1875. After that, Toyama University, Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University and Takaoka National College were integrated in 2005. Our university houses 9 faculties, University hospital and Institute of Natural Medicine based on the fusion of Eastern and Western medicine and Institute of Light Metals. There are approximately 9,000 students studying in the university.
さて、令和４年度は、富山大学の令和の大改革初年度となる年です。
まず、学部１年生の教養教育を五福キャンパスで一元化して行いますので、９学部の学生が一同に会して学ぶこととなります。どうか総合大学のメリットを活かして、学生同士の学部を跨ぐ交流を深めていただきたいと思います。
また、人間発達科学部を改組し、金沢大学と連携した教育学部共同教員養成課程を新たに設置しました。本年入学された皆様は、１期生となります。金沢大学と富山大学のメリットを活かした教員養成に特化した教育を行います。
原則、小学校に加えて、中学校、特別支援学校又は幼稚園の教員免許状を２つ取得していただくことになっていますので、カリキュラムが大変でしょうが、頑張ってクリアして下さい。また、本年より、人文学部では心理学コースを充実し、大学院で公認心理師養成に対応したカリキュラムを整備しました。医学部や病院の協力も得られるので、より広い立場で公認心理師の実習が可能です。大学院では、本年より、文系の修士課程を一つにした人文社会芸術総合研究科を立ち上げ、文理融合となる持続可能社会創成学環を新たに開設しましたので、SDGs並びにデータサイエンスを学べます。理系の全てを含む医薬理工学環も新設し、創薬・製剤工学、応用和漢医薬学、認知・情動脳科学、メディカルデザインを学べます。従来の総合医薬学研究科と理工学研究科とともに、大学院教育を充実していきますので、学生諸君と教員とで研究成果をあげたいと思っています。今日、入学された学部１年生の皆様には、４年で卒業という進路以外に、大学院進学という道もあることを考えていただきたいと思います。大学院へ入学された新入生は、ぜひとも研究成果を纏めて発表して下さい。
The 2022 academic year is the first year of a major reform of the University of Toyama in 2022.
First of all, the liberal arts education of the first-year undergraduate students will be unified at the Gofuku Campus, so students from nine faculties will meet and learn together.
In addition, the Faculty of Human Development Science was reorganized and a joint teacher training course of the Faculty of Education was newly established in collaboration with Kanazawa University.
In addition, from this year, the Faculty of Humanities has enhanced its psychology courses, and the graduate school has developed a curriculum for the training of certified psychologists.In this year, the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Arts, which combines the master’s program in the humanities, will be established, and a new center for the creation of a sustainable society will be established to integrate the arts and sciences, and students will study the SDGs and data science. A pharmaceutical engineering ring including all aspects of science has also been newly established to study drug discovery and pharmaceutical engineering, applied Japanese and Chinese medicine, cognitive and emotional brain science, and medical design. In addition to the conventional Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, we will enhance graduate education, so I would like to produce research results with students and faculty members.
さて、富山大学では、アクティブラーニング（課題解決型授業）、データサイエンス、英語教育の３つを特に重視して教育を行います。アクティブラーニングでは、仲間と話し合い、教員の意見を参考にしながら、自分達で課題を解決するという形の講義です。高校時代の受動的な学びではなく、自らが積極的にデータ収集し、課題を抽出し、学部の異なる学生の意見も取り入れ、解決策を見つけ出すという「学び」です。大学での講義を通じて、自らの教養を高め、ディスカッションを通じて企画、立案、解決策を見出し、人間性を高めていただきたいと思います。
アクティブラーニングの中でも述べましたが、データを収集し、それらを数理学的手法により解析し、課題を抽出し、解決策を見出す一連の過程をデータサイエンスと言います。富山大学では、令和２年度より、１年生全員にデータサイエンスを必修科目とし、令和３年度には、文部科学省からデータサイエンスリテラシーレベルの認定を受けました。更に学びたい方には、データサイエンス寄附講座を経済学部に開講しています。どの学部の学生も参加できるので、ぜひともトライしてみて下さい。富山県企業から持ち込まれた課題を、データサイエンスの立場から、複数の学部の学生、データサイエンスに造詣が深い教員、企業の社員と一緒に解決するという実践型教育です。また、文理融合大学院にも社会データサイエンスプログラムを開設したので、是非大学院でもデータサイエンスを深く学んで下さい。今、データサイエンス人材が求められていますので、きっと将来に大学で学んだことが活かされると思います。
Our University places particular emphasis on active learning (problem-solving classes), data science, and English education. In active learning, it is a lecture in which we discuss with colleagues and solve problems by ourselves while referring to the opinions of teachers. Through lectures at universities, I would like them to enhance their own education, find plans, and solutions through discussions, and enhance their humanity.
As mentioned in active learning, data science is a series of processes in which data is collected, analyzed by mathematical methods, problems are extracted, and solutions are found. Now that data science personnel are required, I am sure that what I learned at university in the future will be utilized.
新型コロナウイルス感染により、遠隔会議が普及し、世界各地の方々と同時にお話しができるようになりました。そのため、英語教育は極めて重要となります。１年生の皆様には、入学直後にTOEIC試験を行い、現時点での英会話能力を判定します。大学で学習した後、１月に再度TOEIC試験を行い、上達度をチェックします。また、３年生もしくは４年生の時点で、再度TOEIC試験を行い、大学時代での英語力の上達度を確認する予定です。成績優秀で希望者には、春休みを利用した富山大学連携校である海外の大学へ短期入学していただき、海外の文化や教育に触れる機会を提供いたします。また、最大６０名までに、富山大学基金から１名あたり１０万円の海外留学の補助をさせていただきます。英会話の自習システム（アルク）も使えますので、どうか講義以外に自習で自らの能力を高めて下さい。
With the new coronavirus infection, teleconferencing has spread, and it is now possible to talk with people from all over the world at the same time. Therefore, English education is extremely important. For first-year students, the TOEIC exam will be held immediately after enrollment to determine their current English conversation ability. After studying at university, the TOEIC exam will be held again in January to check your progress. You can also use the Self-Study System (ALC) of English Conversation, so please improve your own ability by self-study in addition to lectures.
本年１月１８日に、日本経済団体連合会は、重視すべき教育内容など大学教育改革を提言しました。大きく７つに分けられますが、①文理融合教育、②データサイエンス・ＡＩ教育、③課題解決型教育、④グローバル化に対応した大学教育、海外留学、⑤キャリア教育、⑥起業家教育、⑦リカレント教育です。先程述べました富山大学の取り組む姿勢と全く一致しています。富山大学では、多くの企業から求められる人材を輩出したいと願っています。
新しい変革時代への対応に向けて、富山大学入学後、自らを大きく成長させ、社会で活躍できるように切磋琢磨して下さい。教職員は、全力でサポートいたします。
勉強以外に、課外活動を含む大学生活は、一生の友人または一生の師ができる人生にとって貴重な時間です。他学部の学生との交流、先輩との交流、教職員との交流により、交友関係を深めて下さい。今年の学部入学生の74％は、県外出身者ですので、どうか富山県の地域に出かけて自然や文化を楽しみ、富山県を第２の故郷になるよう生活をエンジョイして下さい。26％の県内出身者の学生諸君は、県外出身者の新入生が快適に富山で生活できるようサポートして下さい。
On January 18, 2022, the Japan Business Federation proposed university education reforms, including educational content that should be emphasized. It can be roughly divided into seven categories: (1) integrated education in humanities and sciences, (2) data science and AI education, (3) problem-solving education, (4) university education corresponding to globalization, (5) career education, (6) entrepreneurship education, and (7) recurrent education. I am in complete agreement with the attitude of our University, which I mentioned earlier. Our University hopes to produce the human resources required by many companies.
In addition to studying, college life, including extracurricular activities, is a valuable time for a life of friends or a master for life. Please deepen your friendship by interacting with students from other faculties, interacting with seniors, and interacting with faculty and staff.
私は、富山大学を「おもしろい大学」にしたいと考えています。これからの皆様と一緒に学ぶことのおもしろさを実感していただけるよう、我々教職員は全力で支援いたします。また、ご家族の皆様には、お子さんの自立性を尊重しつつ、成長を見守り、応援していただきたいと思います。
皆さんの学生生活が、実り多いものになることを祈念し、式辞といたします。
I would like to make our University an interesting university. We will do our utmost to support you so that you can realize the fun of learning with you in the future. I would also like families to watch and support their growth while respecting their children’s independence.
